Hey-ho, divorcing Mum here actually involved in a coparenting situation now and have been since my 4 year old daughter was a year. Although I'm committed to the concept, it's easier said than done and would really love to contact someone Mum or Dad in a similar stituation. I live in London, but am american, 35 and willing to chat and share ideas and offer reciprocal support. cheers

hi since I sent you a question about starting an asp meeting in my local area of west bromwich the answer I recevived was not what I expected as the birmingham one at five ways is about 10 miles away and it is to far to travel for local or surrounding areas and more times for meetings

Hello Kickbox2001, if you are keen to have an ASP group in West Bromwich, and you think there is enough local demand to sustain regular meetings, may I suggest that you try to attend 1 or 2 of the Birmingham meetings to get a feel for how they are conducted and then maybe volunteer to help set up a local West Bromwich branch. There is also an ASP national helpline for telephone advice - 01789 751157, this is useful for anyone who is unable to attend a meeting for whatever reason.

Hello swampchic, it is always heartening to hear from anyone who is currently enjoying a successful shared parenting arrangement. Many thanks for your offer of reciprocal support. Currently there are no ASP meetings in London, although we are in contact with parents based there. Several members of ASP are presently in a shared parenting role, hopefully they may have an input here.

Kickbox etc. Yes - B'ham meetings now 1st Thursdays only - more enquiries coming in off the net now. Ring 01789 750891 for a human being any evening. But ... we are a small org. run by volunteers all with day jobs. So if you get the m/c be patient. Will call back.

Re Carl M. you rang but only left half your number. Try again. G.
